Reviewed documentation and provided opinions. Case mediated and settled.
Kimbly W. Falcon vs Steele Raleigh Millbank & Monroe Group Management - retained by plaintiff counsel (Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC) for a negligent security case resulting in the rape of a resident of the Millbank Apartments in Raleigh NC. Reviewed discovery materials, wrote a report and was deposed. Case settled.
Efrain Galicia, et al vs. Donald J. Trump, Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., The Trump Organization LLC, Keith Schiller, Gary Uher, Edward Jon Deck, Jr. - retained by plaintiff counsel team (Charny & Wheeler P.C., Eisner, Dictor, Lamadrid P.C. & Roger Bernstein Law), for battery committed by Trump security staff against protestors. Reviewed documentation, consulted with legal team, trial prep. Case settled during jury selection in favor of plaintiffs.
Regional Protection Agency, Inc. vs. Uber Technologies, Inc., U.S. Security Associates, Inc. - retained by Uber's defense counsel, (Shook, Hardy & Bacon), for misappropriation of trade secrets and conspiracy case. Reviewed documentation, consulted with in-house and retained counsels. Case settled in favor of Uber.
York v. City of Beaumont and Chase Welch - retained by plaintiff counsel, (Weller, Green, Toups, Terrell), for use of force case. Their client was shot 5 times by police officer Welch. Reviewed documentation, consulted with counsel. Case dropped.
Denise Vicoria Kolpacoff-Lund vs County of San Diego - retained by defense counsel - Office of County Counsel - for negligent security case. Ms. Kolpacoff-Lund was raped at the San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital. Case settled.
McKown v. Simon Property Group - retained by plaintiff counsel (Pfau Cochran Vertetis Amala) for premises liability case. Their client was one of 7 people shot at the Tacoma Mall in Washington State. Wrote report and rebuttal. Deposed. Case settled in favor of plaintiff.
Allen and Laura Bricker v. Clark County and First Response - retained by Clark County defense counsel (Keller Rohrback) for negligent security case. Mr. Bricker, an employee of the VA in Washington State, was shot twice at work by a former employee and survived. Plaintiff was seeking $8 million in damages. Deposed and then testified at trial. Jury found in favor of defendants.
Shelia Coe v. Securitas Security Services USA - retained by plaintiff counsel in Los Angeles (Hermez Moreno). A wage & hour dispute. Deposed and case settled.
Michael Gray v. The Hertz Corporation - retained by defense counsel (Tribble Ross) in Texas for negligence, malicious prosecution and false arrest case. Wrote report. Jury found in favor of defense.
Allen v. USA - retained by plaintiff counsel as consulting expert in a negligent security case. Their client wanted to bring suit against TSA. After consultation they dropped the case.
Doucett v. Target Corporation - retained by plaintiff counsel (Perdue & Kidd) for premises liability and negligent security case. Plaintiff, an employee of an eyewear store within a Target store, was shot during a carjacking in the Target parking lot. Reviewed documentation, interviewed plaintiff. Case settled.
Daron Jerome Willis & Subrinna Lynn Coleman v. Beaumont Independent School District - retained by plaintiff counsel in Texas (Weller Green) on a use of force case. A school police officer broke the arm of the plaintiff, a student, during an altercation. Wrote a report. Case settled in favor of plaintiff.
Carolyn Grant v. Houston Airport Hospitality LP dba Holiday Inn Houston Intercontinental Airport - retained as consulting expert by defense counsel (McDonald Devin)on a rape/negligent security/premises liability case. Plaintiff dropped case.
Jose Luis Lopez v. City of Port Arthur, Texas - retained by plaintiff counsel (Weller Green) on a case involving use of force resulting in death by the police department. Mr. Lopez's wife was shot and killed. Upon consultation with attorneys, case was dropped.
Helmandi v. Sunset Entertainment Group - retained as a consulting expert by defense counsel (G+P Schick) in a case involving bodily injury. Case outcome unknown.
Faulkners v. Linderman, Joyce, Myers - retained by defense counsel (Gordon + Rees, Scully, Mansukhani) for negligent security case involving a battery that occurred at a casino concert. Plaintiff sued the security officers and assailant. Judge dismissed the case against the security officers after plaintiff rested.
Megan Ledeau and Timothy Edwards v Taco Treat of Great Falls dba Emerald City Casino - retained by defense counsels (Brown Law Firm P.C. & Garlington, Lohn & Robinson, PLLP) on a case involving the murder of three individuals and the wounding of a fourth at a casino in Great Falls, Montana. Wrote two reports - preliminary and rebuttal. Case settled.
Roe v Doe - retained by plaintiff counsel (Frantz Law Group) for a rape case involving twin nine-year-old girls. HOA and others were sued. Reviewed documentation, consulted with attorneys, defense settled before trial.
Constantine & Morgan v Walmart Stores & Donald Coleman - retained by plaintiff counsel (Scott H. Palmer P.C.) for a case involving negligent security, negligent supervision, & negligent training that resulted in the death of Mr. Morgan. Wrote report, deposed, case settled.
