Disasters Are Our Business...Veterans Are Our Passion
Founded in January 2010 by U.S. Marine veterans in response to the earthquake in Haiti, the Team Rubicon TRibe is trained in disaster response tactics. Seventy percent of the team are military veterans, 10 percent are first responders, and 10 percent are "civilians." The merry band of women and men who make up the TRibe are called "GreyShirts."
In the last 10 years, we have responded to 785 field operations globally in communities devastated by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
As a U.S. Air Force, Vietnam-era veteran, I am a proud GreyShirt member of Team Rubicon and serve as a Site Survey Trainer, Core Operations Trainer, Level 1 Sawyer and Deputy Administrator for Asheville, NC. I've served as the Operations Section Chief (OSC) for Operation White Sage, in response to the Alpine Wildfire in California, and Operation Amberjack, in response to Hurricane Michael in Panama City, Florida. I also deployed as part of the TR logistics team to the Bahamas for Hurricane Dorian.
